Compassionate collaboration for healing and self-discovery.

Daniel Novikov, Provisional Psychologist at Soma + Soul Practice

About Me

I am a trauma-informed and neurodiverse affirming Provisional Psychologist. My work is grounded in the belief that healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about creating a deepening connection to oneself, and fostering the inner safety needed to explore both our lived experience and the world around us.

Exploration of the human spirit has always moved me. I am endlessly curious about the threads that weave our lives together—the experiences that shape us, the stories we tell ourselves, and the strength that allows us to keep moving forward. I believe that by understanding our journey and the forces that have determined our path, we can begin to step toward a more peaceful and balanced existence.

My own path to this work was forged through nearly a decade of walking alongside children and young people navigating traumatic childhood experiences. In those spaces of significant adversity, I learned that even in the midst of deep chaos, there is always a spark of potential for change that can be found through consistent, compassionate connection. These years taught me that a safe and reliable therapeutic relationship is an invaluable foundation to allow us to re-write our own story.

As a neurodivergent adult, I strive to create a space that honours your unique lived experience, offering a grounded environment where your emotional world can be explored with curiosity rather than judgment. I believe that therapy is a true collaboration, and I am here to listen with compassion as I walk alongside you on your healing journey. I bring my whole self to this work — my empathy, my patience, and my deep belief in the transformative power of being seen and understood.

I find my own sense of connection through surfing, snowboarding, traveling, yoga, and meditation. As a Provisional Psychologist, I engage in my own therapy alongside ongoing professional development and clinical supervision to continuously evolve my practice.

I am fluent in English, Russian and Spanish, and value the richness of cultural diversity.
